Hide your computer drives

You know that you can hide your folder,but how many knows that you can also hide your system drives.You can use this trick to hide the important details that you are maintaining personally, that is you want that information in that folder should not be seen by anyone who may use your computer.
It can also be easily be retrieved using simple tricks to get back that drive.


  • To hide your drive open command prompt by typing cmd in start menu.
  • Then type diskpart in your command prompt.

  • After typing diskpart click enter,then this window will appear
  • In this window type DISKPART> list vol, then the list of drives with label will display
  • Then you can select the list of volume that you want to hide by showing in the previous slide for example volume 0 is D Drive and volume 1 is E drive
  • Then select your volume by this command DISKPART>select volume = volume number  for example i select             
  • DISKPART>select volume=1, then volume 1 is selected volume.
  • Then type DISKPART>remove letter=letter of selected volume ex: remove letter=e. 
  • Now your E drive will be hidden.
  • Before hiding the E drive,
  • After Executing the remove letter command your cmd will be,
  •  Then your E drive will be hidden in your computer.
  • To unhide your hidden drive type DISKPART>assign letter=d.Now your e drive will unhide.
